When the sun slips up over the mountains and the morning dew sparkles like diamonds, the Red Bird Farmers Market comes to life.

This isn't just any ordinary market—it’s a piece of Appalachia in full bloom, where you’ll find fresh-picked green beans, hand-poured candles, and jars of jam sweeter than a country love song.
It’s neighbors swapping stories, live bluegrass music, and generations of mountain-grown tradition spilling over every table.
Let the Red Bird Farmers Market remind you what home feels like in the mountains!
On Friday, June 13th, 2025, the Red Bird Mission Farmers Market brought the good folks of our community together for its grand opening—and y’all, what a day it was!
Over 100 smiling faces popped in to soak up the sunshine, the music, and of course, the unbeatable selection! More than 11 vendors set up tables overflowing with fresh vegetables, gorgeous handmade crafts, and way more goodies than one basket could hold.

Step right up and meet the local legends
who make our farmers market what it is.
Come and meet our gardeners! These folks have been hoein’ rows and pickin’ green beans for most of their lives—so you know they’ve got the magic touch.

Their gardens are as much a part of their lives as Sunday dinners, and they show up every week with baskets and fresh green beans, tomatoes, cucumbers, and whatever else they’ve coaxed out of their dirt.
If you wanna taste something grown with love and dedication, you’ve got to swing by and see ‘em.
Just be careful—if you ask about their garden secrets, you might be there all day!
We can’t forget Charity, Red Bird Mission’s incredible
community aid coordinator!

She’s not only dedicated to helping folks in need, but she also pulls double duty as the Farmers Market's personal soundtrack.
With her banjo and guitar in hand, she played some of the most heartfelt bluegrass music you’ll ever hear!
To enjoy more of this gal's music, head to the Cardinal Cafe on Wednesday at 7pm or visit Facebook and like her official music page, "Charity Gilbert Music."
Every vendor and all booths brought so much creativity and charm to the market, making it impossible to leave empty-handed!

One of our standout vendors, Red Bird School DIY and Crafts, had an eye-catching booth filled with patriotic shirts and Father’s Day shirts that were perfect for the season!
Another favorite was the Cat Holler Candle Company, who featured a stunning collection of Swig Cups—beautifully designed and absolutely irresistible. (I couldn’t help myself and got one, and my son did too!) -I rate these cups a solid 10 out of 10!
Even better, all the money raised by the Cat Holler Candle Company goes to Red Bird Christian School Boys Basketball team for their new uniforms! What an awesome cause!
That's not all folks!
The market was packed with opportunities to grow your mind too!
Folks from the Community Farmers Alliance and UK Extension were on hand sharing gardening tips, while the Red Bird Mission Outreach team gave us the scoop on their amazing programs.
Every table had something new to teach or inspire!
